Therapy dogs play a different helping role than service dogs and emotional support animals. They are not trained to live with a specific handler. Rather, these are dogs that — with their human teammate (often the dog’s owner) — volunteer in clinical settings, such as hospitals, mental health institutions, hospices, schools, and nursing homes, where they provide comfort, affection, and even love in the course of their work.
Therapy dogs are trained to be comfortable in new environments and to interact with different people. They should have a calm temperament, be unfazed by unfamiliar noises and movements, be comfortable being handled, and love people. Helping Hands Care has several Therapy dogs for use at the client’s request.
The American Bully is a very sweet-natured and loving dog. This is one of the reasons they were bred. Our puppies make an excellent family dog because of their kind and affectionate nature. They also love attention and know how to show you that they love you giving you lots of kisses and cuddles!
Mix breed, Bonnie is very loving and the oldest of the four. She is a snugger and loves to be next to you and be warm. Bonnie is happiest when she is next to you.
American pocket bully. Clyde is a big boy AKA Pogi (it means handsome in Filipino). Clyde loves to have his belly rubbed all the time. Clyde has a warm personality and surely you will fall in love with his temperament.
American Pocket Bully. CoCo is a very loving and laidback girl. She is quiet most of the time and loves to give kisses.
Mix breed, Salvatore is the youngest. He is a cuddler who delights in being close to you and feeling warm.
